Pediatric Urologic Care

Under the direction of John S. Wiener, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.S., Duke Urology provides multiple general and specialty clinics in pediatric urology that are held in Durham and Raleigh.

General Pediatric Urology Clinic, Duke University Medical Center
Children with all forms of urologic problems are seen in this clinic. The clinic is located on the third floor of the McGovern-Davison Children's Health Center at Duke University Medical Center and is open from 8:00am-5:00pm on Mondays and Thursdays. Pediatric Radiology, which is located on the first floor of the building, provides convenient access to complete imaging services in a child-friendly environment.

ABCD (Achieving Bladder Control at Duke) Clinic, Duke University Medical Center
This special clinic is held on Wednesdays to provide specialized care and attention to children with bladder control problems such as enuresis, bedwetting, and urinary frequency. Comprehensive therapy involves the use of behavioral therapy, enuresis alarms, and medications. Additionally, consultative services are utilized from the Department of Physical Therapy and the Department of Psychology and Behavioral Medicine. Cynthia J. Camille, F.N.P., C.P.N.P. is clinic coordinator under the supervision of Dr. Wiener. Ms. Camille holds a nursing degree from the University of Iowa and a nurse practitioner degree from Duke University. She has been at Duke University Medical Center for over ten years and has special training in pediatric urology and nephrology.

Duke Children's Consultative Services of Raleigh
This clinic was developed in the Raleigh area to provide convenient specialized pediatric care to the children of Wake County and surrounding areas. Located within close proximity of the Raleigh Community Hospital complex, Dr. Wiener holds the clinic the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Because dedicated pediatric radiology facilities are not available, patients who need x-ray studies are not seen in this clinic.

Comprehensive Spina Bifida Clinic, Lenox Baker Children's Hospital, Duke University Medical Center
This clinic is available for children with spina bifida and other spinal cord disorders on the fourth Thursday of each month. In addition to pediatric urology, teams from neurosurgery, orthopaedics, developmental pediatrics, and physical therapy are present to provide total care to these children.
